SO much hype – hard to believe, really.\u00c2\u00a0 MONTHS of people talking about it, speculating, etc.\u00c2\u00a0 It finally came out on Friday at 6pm.\u00c2\u00a0 Much as I wanted one, I decided it would be wise to wait a while and see what people thought.<\/p>\n
I waited right around 16.5 hours.<\/p>\n
Zipped over to the Apple Store in Northridge.\u00c2\u00a0 8 people in line.\u00c2\u00a0 The entire transaction, including picking out a case, lasted 5 minutes.\u00c2\u00a0 Paid, left.\u00c2\u00a0 Had lunch, and brought it home.\u00c2\u00a0 Having read some stuff on Digg (the comments on which, by the way, have become absolutely worthless) about people having problems activating the phone.\u00c2\u00a0 I can only assume these are retarded stoners, because it worked flawlessly for me.\u00c2\u00a0 Inside 10 minutes my Razr was deactivated (thankfully – what a hunk of TRASH) and my iPhone was receiving calls.\u00c2\u00a0 I had also transferred a bunch of music and pictures, synced all my contacts and email profiles and calendar, and got it fully charged.<\/p>\n
Don’t believe what you read on Digg – the thing is awesome.\u00c2\u00a0 Gorgeous device, full featured, and absolutely, hands-down the best interface I have ever seen on a computer of any size ever.\u00c2\u00a0 The web browser kicks ass, the ipod will play through the speakerphone, it works great with the Bluetooth in mty car, and is a loud, comfortable, easy to use phone even.\u00c2\u00a0 The visual voicemail is cool too.<\/p>\n
