For David<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Ouch.\u00c2\u00a0 Here are all the details, just in case David’s fiancee or my girlfriend, or Kent’s wife are reading:<\/p>\n

It started off with some lighthearted joking over a couple of sprites and a good meal on Friday night.\u00c2\u00a0 We talked for a while about how in love David is, and how happy he is to be getting married.\u00c2\u00a0 Everyone agreed that we all crave the same thing – and just want to stay as far away as possible from women with “morally casual attitudes.”\u00c2\u00a0 Then we headed out for some fun -\u00c2\u00a0gambling!\u00c2\u00a0 We played some $2 blackjack and watched some folks play craps (just seems to expensive to get involved in), and before we knew it, it was 11pm!\u00c2\u00a0 Time for bed – we had a big day tomorrow.<\/p>\n

We got up around 8am (like I said – we had a lot to do!) and had a nice healthy breakfast down at the coffee shop.\u00c2\u00a0 We’d heard that the food was OUTSTANDING there, and we weren’t disappointed!\u00c2\u00a0 Then it was off to do some shopping for the girlfriends and wives.\u00c2\u00a0 We labored over tough choices (shoes, tops, jewelry), giving each other advice on what we thought they’d like best.\u00c2\u00a0 We got it all done, and in record time – we were back at the hotel by 4pm!\u00c2\u00a0 Time for more gambling before dinner.\u00c2\u00a0 Kent came out on top, winning $35 before we pulled him away.\u00c2\u00a0 I got hurt the most (which is surprising, because everyone knows I’m not much for gambling).\u00c2\u00a0 Even after losing $22, I was still up for some fun.\u00c2\u00a0 What can I say?\u00c2\u00a0 I’m an animal!<\/p>\n

So now it was time for a club.\u00c2\u00a0 We headed to the Voo Doo Lounge (it was in the hotel – who needs to waste $8 on cabs?) and managed to get in for free because we were staying in the hotel.\u00c2\u00a0 What a place!\u00c2\u00a0 Great view, and lots of fun people.\u00c2\u00a0 The music was a bit loud, but still fun.\u00c2\u00a0 I admit that we did spend a fair amount of time explaining to some of the laides there that NO, they could not dance with David – he was getting MARRIED.\u00c2\u00a0 Several asked if we had been to a strip club yet – can you believe it?\u00c2\u00a0 Right – like we’re going to take a guy who is getting MARRIED to a STRIP CLUB?\u00c2\u00a0 What’s next?\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Let him drink too much and start gambling with a handful of money?\u00c2\u00a0 Yeah – right.<\/p>\n

We stepped up to the bar for a cocktail.\u00c2\u00a0 Someone suggested shots (again – I’m not much into that) so we said “What the heck!\u00c2\u00a0 It’s David’s party!”\u00c2\u00a0 We got a round of Red Headed somethingorothers – I don’t recall exactly the name.\u00c2\u00a0 Down they went!\u00c2\u00a0 Woo hoo!\u00c2\u00a0 Then the bill came – talk about a downer.\u00c2\u00a0 Over $10 EACH for such a small drink?\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t think so.\u00c2\u00a0 I asked to see the manager.\u00c2\u00a0 I met with a gentleman named “Crusher” (who I thought was the bouncer out front, but I could be wrong) who wouldn’t budge on the price.\u00c2\u00a0 I told him we’d pay it, but he could FORGET about us buying anymore – and that we might in fact even LEAVE.\u00c2\u00a0 At least he was nice enough to escort us out.<\/p>\n

By then we were pretty beat – it was almost midnight, and we had to leave the next morning, so it was off to bed.\u00c2\u00a0 Back to the same excellent coffeee shop the next morning, and then on the road.\u00c2\u00a0 I think it’s safe to say that te weekend lived up to eveyone’s expectations all the way around – I just hope David made to work OK on Monday!\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
