Just back from India.\u00c2\u00a0 Highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> &#8211; New airport in Bangalore is about as nice as anything I&#8217;ve ever seen<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; Rooms at the Bangalore Golf Club are NOT.\u00c2\u00a0 Idea:\u00c2\u00a0 get an elevator if rooms are going to be on the 3rd floor<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; Golf course was in great shape.\u00c2\u00a0 Played with a nice guy from Georgia.\u00c2\u00a0 Enjoyed hitting first drive &#8211; which had to go <a title=\"Yes - I carried it.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/bakst\/3930026074\/in\/set-72157622274485647\/\" target=\"_blank\">OVER the parking lot.<\/a><\/li>\n<li> &#8211; Traffic still an absurd issue there.\u00c2\u00a0 If your horn doesn&#8217;t work, forget driving in Bangalore.<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; <a title=\"Awesome offshore development\" href=\"http:\/\/sakhatech.net\/\" target=\"_self\">Sakha<\/a> offices cool.\u00c2\u00a0 Well, not temperature cool &#8211; nothing there is.<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; Food, as always, was great.\u00c2\u00a0 Partying was too.\u00c2\u00a0 Hard Rock Bangalore (which has over 20000 fans on Facebook), Purple Haze and Cub Nero were all awesome.\u00c2\u00a0 From what I recall.\u00c2\u00a0 Don&#8217;t even ask Harsh what happened.\u00c2\u00a0 He won&#8217;t remember.<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; I overtipped again.\u00c2\u00a0 Wildly as it turns out.\u00c2\u00a0 It seems that tipping 100 rupees for breakfast is the equivalent of tipping $200 in LA.\u00c2\u00a0 No wonder the service was so good.<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; LONG flights.\u00c2\u00a0 20 hours each way.<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; Sick as a dog AFTER I got back, punctuated by 36 hours where I couldn&#8217;t sleep at all.\u00c2\u00a0 Kudos to Pam for keeping me from killing myself.<\/li>\n<li> &#8211; Good t be home, but it was fun as usual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Been too long since posting.
